fastest mobile broadband?

i really need to get mobile broadband for work, who do you guys use? who is generally the fastest? i've read a lot about verizon being the best, but i'd like to hear some opinions. i use at&t for phone now and can easily turn tethering on for my bb bold, but if there's something faster, i'd rather have it.

I have sprint and it is very reliable and fast. Upload speed is much faster than my DSL.

$60/month unlimited.

Coverage depends on where you live. As an IT Manager who has dealt with multiple vendors, I can tell you in my experience, Verizon/Sprint are pretty much the same speed. AT&T/etc are below that. If your choice was between Verizon and Sprint, I'd go for Verizon because it blows Sprint's customer service out of the water.

i have an ExpressCard Merlyn EX720 from Sprint that i got through my work. It works great with MPB, no drivers of any kind needed, but it is slooooooooooooooooooow. It works in some retarded areas where other phones don't but its still kinda sketchy.

I moved couple of weeks ago and wasn't able to locate the card in a pile of my things, so i decided to try tethering with my AT&T iPhone 3GS. That thing was FAST. I downloaded 2 230Mb Entourage episodes from BitTorrent in about 15 minutes.

So yeah, 3GS with Tethering on AT&T gets my vote.

Oh, i also used to have a Verizon card. That was the biggest piece of shit i have ever seen. I could barely achieve 56k speeds in town. Outside of town? Forget about it.

this thing looks kinda cool though

My AT&T iPhone seems fast enough.

No. It does not have to be jailbroken, but i suspect Apple is going to shutdown this loophole in 3.1, to allow AT&T to rape you even more than they already do.

Open your iPhone browser and go to http://help.benm.at
Scroll down and click on "Mobileconfigs download >"
Select your country and your provider and then hit "Install" button.

After that go to Settings > General > Network > Internet Tethering and turn it on.
