Based on the MY23 VIN scheme there will be a 10th Anniversary Edition for the GR86. Either that or a BRZ will be the next car purchase.

How do you know what the MY23 VIN scheme is when guys who ordered there MY22 months ago are still waiting on delivery?

But I wouldn't be surprised. Although, in the past all the "special edition" FRS versions were basically an exhaust, special color, then all the options of the top-trim level BRZ.

But now that the top trim level of the GR86 matches the specs of the top trim level BRZ. Who knows.

I know the Subaru dealer up in Tulsa right now has a blue BRZ sitting on the lot asking almost $45k for it.........or $14k over MSRP. Which, if people would just stop paying the ADM dealers would no longer be able to charge it.

Because Subaru has already submitted the scheme for MY23 Impreza, BRZ and GR86 to the NHTSA.

This may be true for the general consumer, but definitely not the case for enthusiasts. Any performance or even sporty vehicle is selling for a big premium, new or used. Spend a few minutes researching recent sold prices from any of the auction companies, Hagerty or auction web sites. If you think gas is expensive the sold results will be an eye opener.

Murph, jokes aside what's that worth these days?

And a 'T', greatest investment ever.

I think we realistically have more time than we think but it's true, ICE is on the way out.

I went with a 21' R8 last year because aside from ICE being on the way out, V10 is most certainly done - especially naturally aspirated. I'm hoping I can still have a few more. It would be a dream to have a garage with an R8, 812 Competizione and the upcoming 992 GT3RS.

Just looking at comparators on Autotrader, there are a couple that are similar, all with much higher mileage and they seem to be asking between $108K for one with almost twice the mileage and I'd say less desirable colour combo, and $145K for one that is very similar. I can't believe they will get those prices now but damn, this was a good investment.

Just to think. A little over a decade ago, we went off the deep end with putting Formula 1-derived V10's in family saloons

How times change.

The more I see them the more I want one of the last land yacht coupes from Rolls Royce or Bentley, the Phantom coupe or the Brooklands. So imposing and badass, must be a dream to drive although they’re both gigantic. But the older I get the more I just want to roll around in supreme comfort, I’ve had tons of sports cars. Definite bucket list cars, both are extremely rare and not cheap. Amazing that you could get the phantom coupe as low as around $100k at one point:

I'm the same way. I'm starting to get less and less interested in sports cars. Pre-Covid, I was looking at Phantoms going for $80k and thought that would actually cool to own over say a 997 GT3. Completely different cars of course, but I can't tell you the last time I saw a Phantom. Then I looked at the cost of maintenance (even with DIY) and it kind of brought me back to reality.

Regarding my last ICE car, I think the G87 is a possibility but I'm so happy with my F87C. As odd of a choice as it might be, I think my last ICE car might be a G01 BMW X3 since we're only talking about brand new. There's just not many cars out there that I'm interested in upgrading to anymore when I've already got some of my favorites attained.

I might consider a C8 if prices ever come down to reasonable levels. I might also consider a C7 Z06. Honestly though I don't find myself driving for fun much these days. The mustang has been sitting in the garage since we got here a few weeks ago. Still I get bored of cars quickly and like to try new things so it would be hard to pick one to have forever.

Honestly, the only car I really miss was my Z4MR so maybe if I could find a nice one of those that would be my pick.

I picked up an RCF last year and have been enjoying the hell out of it.

Performance, luxury, and reliability all in one. My first mod was exhaust; it idled like a Prius before lol.
