Epic race. Well done Charles, you managed to pull off a win under extreme pressure.

Vettel must consider retirement now, he is done at Ferrari as far as I am concerned.

grats for Ferrari and Leclerc even though some moves werent that tasty.. Merc wasnt that fast on the straight to fend off Ferrari even if they d past it seems.. Bottas made many mistakes and blow his chance as well actually.. it was a great race overall each lap..

and Vettel.. he was feeling the pressure all weekend that we ve seen he was waving to the crowd even in practice sessions pretty often.. he was looking a bit unfocused.. and again.. he made a mistake when no one was around and not even on the stage in the race when he spun.. wondering this time if he ll tell, there was no where to go, i dont understand this decision.. Vettel got beyond cracking under pressure.. i guess these next 2-3 races ll determine his career or if Ferrari still has some patience they ll let them occupy the seat next year..

Negative . MAX was not hit from behind .
There was contact in the first straight between Sergio Pérez and MAX. His front wing was damaged , and he lost a lot of time from P20.
After all his race was not too bad with his P8 on the finish line ..

Glorious win for Charles.
The Vettel situation is getting embarrassing. I was never a fan of the man but I feel sorry for him.

Ferrari has no choice but to drop him though and hopefully get Max (very unlikely) or Danny.

Charles stamped his #1 driver role at Ferrari today. Probably a good thing Sebs dad was in the grand stands away from all the cameras.

In your statement is MAX the keyword

Once you're a dad, you drive slower. It's just a fact.

I thought Seb had regained form when he came from way back to take second a few races ago. I can't remember which one it was. Honestly I just think the competitive fire is out of him. It is sad to see/watch. Maybe he really is retiring at the end of the year?

Regards to Leclerc's driving today, I thought HAM was going to be more pissed, but he seemed fine with how everything went down at the end of the race. Leclerc was on the edge for sure, but I didn't think he really crossed the line ever. Hamilton has probably driven just as heard in his career as well. It certainly wasn't as bad as when someone was ran completely off the track (I can't remember between who) earlier in the race that resulted in no penalty. Any way, glad to see good hard racing and it was fun to see the party that results form a Ferrari win at Monza again!

Agreed, it would've been cool to see what he could have done had he not had another first corner incident. Hopefully he gets back to his earlier season form at Singapore. It is a lot more fun with him in the mix with the Ferraris and Mercs.

Negative . Vettel is now on nine penalty points. Drivers automatically incur a race ban if they reach 12.

I like Sebastian . He's such a nice guy . Honestly I feel sorry for him .
If I could help him ..I would do it .

Good race, actually woke up to watch it live, great win for Leclerc and Ferrari.

Vettel must retire at end of year, if not earlier, imo.

Ricciardo or Verstappen in a Ferrari would be amazing.

Super happy F1 has become interesting again, first few races of the year were terrible. Still a Hamilton / Mercedes lock, but at least the races are becoming entertaining.

Cheers,
Eamonn aka eggman

You know what I'm wondering that also, are Ferrari holding back on some of the things that Charles' car has got, i can't believe that Seb is just losing it in the driving.

That's the whole point of it , and lately it's going worse with him. Knowing that Sebastian is a 4 time World Champion !

Something must be wrong with him , or with his car (not sure)
He must be very sad . My thoughts are with him...

'20 contract for Seb

Let's go back further in time and look at the history with how Ferrari dealt with drivers they fell out of favour with when they were 'slipping' but at the same time keeping it from getting out to the public. Maybe a few of the ways they did things then are prevalent today..as in other teams also but some just say 'your out' without the theatre.
After saying that Seb has a contract for next year

Amazing race and easily one of the best this season! Very happy for Charles and a much deserved win. The fandom in Italy was something to see and made for the perfect race atmosphere.

I'll pile on the Vettel hate...what is going on with him? It's all in his head as he seemingly forgot how to drive. And that unsafe return to track was just scary and could have turned out very badly. Seems like a safe assumption that his seat at Ferrari will open up for next season. Ricciardo would be a great fit imo. A veteran with a good attitude and personality who could challenge Charles and also mentor him in some ways.

awesome race!

danny wont go to ferrari, he wants to be world champ, he needs to be a #1 driver on a team and that wont happen at ferrari while charles is driving for them.

ham is pissed that he couldnt find a gap, charles was able to see and know what ham would try and was able to defend that spot like no other!

As a pissed off Vettel fan I feel like he should get a mental coach or something. His mind is just not in the right place. He's driving worse than a rookie. What's happening with him is heartbreaking to us his fans (I'm sure it's much much worse to him). Now I understand that we can only see a small fraction of what's happening between him and the team but for his future I really hope Ferrari is siding with him and understands what he's going through, otherwise it'll be a shameful retirement!
