Motor Trend or Car And Driver?
As part of a customer satisfaction solution to another magazine subscription problem, I've been offered a free 1 year subscription to either MT or C&D.
Which one should I take? (from an enthusiast's point of view) Thanks...

C&D.
They do some fun tests and comparisons like the Lightning Lap. Motor Trend gives their "Car of the Year" award to almost any piece of crap that sends a fruit basket (eg. the Renault Allience) so they have zero credibility in my book (not that C&D and R&T are above shining the advertiser's apple either, just not as shamelessly).

They both suck and are at the mercy of their advertisers. In an age of online information are superfluous. Of course if you want high quality gloss and editorial independence, try 'Car' magazine and pretend you're British.

If you are a true junkie, try EVO (and CAR to a lesser extent). IMO they are a much better enthusiast's choice than any US mag - you can get good discounts on them (over retail price) at magazinecity.com EVO has the more focused performance articles, very honest and well written. CAR every now and then has some amazing travel articles, such as "Audi R8 to Morroco" in the last issue (or "Land Rover to Timbuktu" and so on).
