Finally, a few days later, he told me he sold the CoilSpring, JB4 and ChargePipe. I cancel the payment and I refer to him in the amount of $ 1,300 for the downpipe, Intake and FMIC all this to the end of October. Throughout the month of November, he mentioned to me that his assistant sent the pieces, but he has no proof of the transaction. So I open any dispute on paypal. He explains that the parts were returned to him due to wrong address. Paypal reimburse me the payment. Justin proves that he still has the documents in its possession due to the wrong address when sending. So the end of November, I refer to him in the amount of $ 1,300. Throughout the month of December, it gives me plenty of excuse like, poor delivery address, he travels, he is sick and etc. So between Christmas and New Year's day, I told her that if January 5, I have no evidence that he send the parts, I open a paypal dispute and that I pursued for fraud. Since I have not had any news of him on 5 January, I reopened a dispute on paypal for non-receipt of the goods. Finally on January 8, he shows me proof of sending followed with a number. I explain that I keep open dispute until I get the parts. When I receive the parts to mid-January, the box contains only the downpipe and the latter could respond to me and do not want to pay me back. I explain the situation paypal closing the dispute in favor of Justin. So I paid $ 1,300 for a downpipe since I have not received the intake and FMIC. I am currently appealing the decision to paypal and I opened a lawsuit for fraud against JUSTIN Brian Nguyen and Nguyen. So I'm still waiting for the decision of the appeal.
It starts to get tricky when you do receive something but not everything you ordered when it comes to online disputes like these.

I hope you have the weight of the package that was delivered (according to the shipping label or shipping company) and a clear determination of what the weight should have been. If you can clearly show that the package you received did not weigh as much as it would have weighed had everything been in there, it will help your case.

I've used forums for tons of transactions with no problems.

Your post is very hard to follow, and based on the fact that Paypal found in his favor I'm not sure if this is a case of you actually being ripped off, or this being a case of poor communication between the buyer and seller.

If he has proof of shipment and you provided the wrong addresses it's entirely possible this is a case of something happening with UPS/FedEx, and may have nothing to do with the seller.

Heatware and other sites are out there to provide feedback to sellers on forums, and as long as communication is clear then Paypal should protect you. The fact that they found in favor of the seller leads me to believe there is something missing from this conversation.

Paypal is worthless when it comes to disputes. All they will do is ask the seller for a tracking number. If the seller sends his mom's bra size, they will accept that as a tracking number and tell the buyer that the dispute is now settled. It has happened to me before. Luckily, I was able to work it out with the seller independently.

OP, the situation you're in is difficult and I hope you find a resolution. I would say, though, if you have a lawsuit and dispute against this member, then you may not want to post anything here that can be harmful to you in any way.

I think you accomplished the task of letting people know about this potential scam. But going forward, I would keep this matter private until it has been resolved. That's just the advice of a random forum user

Before everyone gets one-sided because of the buyer, you all need to hear both sides of the story. I appreciate those who are level headed and don't jump to conclusions.

First off -- the buyer provided me the wrong address during the first shipment, so the items were sent back to me. Given that, I updated him about it and told him I would re-ship it free of charge. In addition to this, he opened up a dispute during the first shipment and the money was sent back to him. This was fine since the items were back in my possession and I wanted him to resend the money before I re-shipped.

Second -- The buyer agreed that I could re-ship the items so I did. But for whatever reason, he sent me LESS money than what we agreed on. To add on, I had to eat the shipping costs with his lower payment. I didn't care at this point because he waited long enough and I was trying to be a nice guy. The package was going through customs, and he opens up another dispute. This time I decided to fight it. I provided PayPal with pictures of the package at USPS with the shipping label, receipts, and the buyer's confirmation he is tracking the package. Now, remember I shipping from California to Canada, so a lot of shit can happen along the way. But regardless, I've been responsive to the buyer and updated him with everything. I don't know what he's trying to pull right now, but I don't have time to deal with it.

I sold my M4's Akrapovic exhaust worth over $6,000 to another buyer on here last month and he had no issues, plus left me a positive review. There's absolutely NO reason why I would try to scam this guy out of something worth ~6X less...

If something happened along the way, then I'll help you resolve any issues. You have my number, so feel free to text me. Or you can return whatever and I'll refund it.

The forum "call out" thread is always a poor way of handling a transaction dispute. The opinions of a bunch of people who have no idea of the circumstances is never valuable other than to turn into a shit show of he said/she said.

Hopefully this gets resolved to the point where people are happy. I once had a buyer try to dispute a used exhaust sale because I didn't include brand new gaskets and hardware for him.
