Any aquatic/marine specialists?

Hey guys, I need to write a 10 page essay about any aquatic organism..Can anyone recommend a fish that has been the most researched? I don't want to spend time and stress researching information that is not available. Some of my friends recommended to write about the Great White Shark, but there is not much research available on them..

I always enjoyed sarcopterygians. Supposedly "evolved" (for those who don't believe in evolution) into the first tetrapods There should be enough infomation (journals, articles, etc.) in various higher education databases to branch a bit if you want, and talk about the clades of aquatic organisms and evolution immediately prior to tetrapods and in the era of the devonian period

Tilapia

Or Atlantic Cod. With all the fishing bans going on right now, there should be a ton of info available on cod.
