Can't keep my chargpipe to intercooler o-ring in place.
On my 435i I have installed a jb4, Injen CAI, ER CATTED downpipe, and a ER chargepipe. I was experiencing a loss in boost (under 5psi) and I checked the chargpipe for leaks and the bottom o ring was in two pieces. I recently replaced the o-ring and while testing to see if I was getting the amount of boost I should be getting I heard a pop. I instantly lost power and the chargepipe was leaking again from the connection to the intercooler. How can I get the o-ring to stay in place?

A follow up to this..
The o-ring on the F30s are a bit tricky in a sense that it is not round like typical o-rings. It is kind of squarish in shape with a little lip on one side. The lip needs to be pointed inwards on the charge pipe. Also, make sure that the o-ring isn't twisted in groove and that it sits flat with the lip pointed inwards. Also, clean the charge pipe of any oil. Oil will make the o-ring twist when inserting the charge pipe. When attaching the charge pipe, make sure the clip is fully into the recess on the intercooler. If you only partially have the clip in the recess, it will pop out. Mike |

I was able to fix the problem again. Just have to stick on map 1 for the time being because if I get anything over 15psi the chargepipe clamp loosens and let's air out. The oring gets shredded to pieces. But running map 1 it can handle it and drives great!

I think you might need to loosen the coupler and upper connection and completely reseat the lower pipe, get the clip in place and then tighten the coupler and attach the upper to the TB. It's very important that you get the lower pipe locked (the c clip should lock down in the notch) in place prior to fully attaching the upper to the throttle body. Just got done installing mine and it was a PITA, but that was what worked for me.
