To me, maybe cuz I just can't get into reading novels, I'd just wait for the show/movie.

In any event, I would only do one or the other, I dunno how ppl would intentionally read the book beforehand and see how it plays out later on, it really killed The DaVinci Code movie for me and I'd never do that again.
In most cases, I’ve read the book long before it went to Hollywood. I would not rush to read a book before I watched a movie. It’s just a matter of which came to my attention first. I don’t think I have ever read a book after watching the movie.

I LOVED the Dark Tower. series Then I saw it coming to the big screen and got excited.

Then I saw it. . .

Granted, you just can't have a discussion about fighting naked in a PG movie

My daughter is like that. She loves to read (so jealous) and is usually disappointed if the book was made in to a movie and she saw it.

One exception for her that I can think of off the top of my head is "Picnic At Hanging Rock." But only because the film, not the TV series, was so good in her opinion. Not because the book was bad.

Yup, totally understand that 'predicament' and it can't be avoided. I'm just puzzled by those Potterheads' behavior as I've mentioned already.

I'm kind of too lazy to spend time on books now. I love more movies
