Six Frigates, about the founding of the USN. Heard about it on a website( might have been this one) and ordered on Amazon. Haven't started it yet but looking forward to diving in.

Time Travel, by Gleick. Kind of a sloppy writer but an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Just started reading Greg Iles “Cemetery Road”. Only 80 pages in but I love his writing. This was supposed to be for beach week with the girls but I couldn’t wait anymore. I have no willpower.

HA!!

I knew you'd like him and that's a great way to dip your toe in. (See what I did there?)

You have it all wrong, MK. I’ve been reading him for years. I wish he put them out faster. But, then maybe they wouldn’t be as good. I can’t put this damn thing down. I’ve read all his books except one or two. This one is based in MS but a stand alone, not part of the Penn Cage series. I highly recommend it.

I just might re-read that series. He is my favorite author.

Dang! I hate when that happens. I'm sleep deprived. Daughter graduated from college on Friday and it's been 3 parties since then and a date last night. I need a vacation.

How are you today?

I knew something was up. You're good at remembering what people say. Which is pretty funny and not good for some

I'm well, thanks. Counting the days to beach week. Congrats on the graduation. Now go over to the dating thread and tell us all about it

I was down and out for the count Thurs/Fri last week, so I finished the fist SpatterJay book. Digging into the next one soon. Glad I picked up both at the same time.

Am I the only one who forms a mental image of the places/planets/space ships when reading Sci-Fi? Like I can almost smell what it would be like in each location, and when the story moves back into that location, I'm right back in that mental imagery.

Reading Machinery's Handbook (again) It's 2,104 pages but quite interesting and better than you might think.

I just finished the Tatooist of Auschwitz. It was incredibly good. I couldn't put it down. Finished it the same day I started it.

When I lived in Nashville I would listen to Mark Levin and Phil Valentine on my way home from work everyday on 99.7. I will have to pick up his book!

Just finished Hemmingway's "For Whom The Bell Tolls", honestly it was a struggle, I really couldn't get into it.
Currently reading a Freddie Mercury biography, then back to a classic with Bram Stoker's Dracula.
