Gift ideas?

Hi everybody! I am here without a clue what to get to my lil boy! He'll be 8 on Saturday and he has many toys and lots of clothes too. Find an interesting thing here https://giftsrelative.com/gifts-for-8-year-old-boys/ (Macrobot ), but I'm not sure... Do you have any children? What do you get them? Any ideas from you? Thanx in advance!

I usually do something with them and let them pick something out at a toy store.

Trampoline place, parks. zoo.......anything that gets them active. My daughter will be 4 in July. Usually kids just want to spend time with their parents if that is the type of relationship they have built with them.

Around that age I bought my oldest a model rocket. Working on it together, building it is a bonding experience plus it builds excitement/anticipation for the launch as he saw it coming together. The look and excitement on his face when they see how far it actually traveled was pretty cool as well.

I agree with what's been said as far as doing something with him. My wife and I always take our little ones out to a trampoline park, laser tag or something active like that. Then we usually get him one big gift from us. We got him the Nintendo switch recently with some Mario games. For his birthday we got him a trampoline for the house.

I see you're in NY, not sure where but you might consider OVRP. This is a proper race track with skilled instructors and the best rental karts you'll find anywhere. They have jr. karts so the young ones can give it a try without risk, and the karts below if he checks out and wants to go faster (50mph on the straights). For those who really take to it MUCH faster 2-stroke karts are available for arrive-and-drive with one-on-one instruction. OVRP also hosts club and championship kart races which are something to see if you haven't before. My son races there twice a month, also does practice days there since that is his home track. Track is located about 25 minutes north of Port Jervis, New York.
website is ovrp.net

agree with others about doing something. my oldest boy is turning 9 next month and I'm taking him to a buccos game. He's a huge sport nut.

My middle son is turning 6 in aug, I plan to take him to do something, just not sure yet.

Where are you guys going karting with your youngins? my local track, they have to be 12 or so.
