Lups is right about the prudence of Americans.

When I was stationed in Germany, and then years later in Japan, it would have basically been considered rude to enter a steam room or hot bath with some sort of covering except for maybe a towel to use use to walk to and from.

If someone does that in the states, it's considered rude or awkward for someone to just walk into a sauna completely nude. That action would actually make people walk out after a few hushed wispers.

No need for the argument about cultural differences here though. Let's not get this thread taken down like the last interview thread... then all of our typing would have been for nothing, and I hate when hard work is all for nothing.

Last summer I had this bitch on my case telling me walking around nude is not acceptable in America. Every fucking time I went to the dog park, she jumped from a bush and started bitching.

One time I just stopped a group of guys and asked them if she was right, introducing her to them as the dress police naturally. The guys told her politely I am allows to wear less even if I so wish, and that they'd think it would be preferred so by most.

Dress police now just gives me an evil eye when she sees me.

I think it's more socially acceptable for good looking women to walk around naked. However, if you're a good looking dude like myself walking around naked, the reaction isn't quite the same.

One lady asked me what was wrong with my third leg, I said lady, I know not of which you speak, for I only have two legs.

But it's funny. Even in the army, on a camp, with no other females in sight did it occur to me go to a sauna dressed. Sure the guys and I had shared a tent for two weeks in a row at that point so there is zero chance of any of us being attracted to each other ever, we still when we get a permission from the spouses go and have a sauna night together. The only time anyone has made a comment about how I or they've looked like was when I was abt 7 months prego, and my best friend said he's afraid my breasts were going to explode. This was when I was still dressed.

It's so normal there. We don't attract mates on how little we wear, we actually have to work on being interest and we accept age and life also shows.

I think Canada is a bit more open about nudity. Women are allowed to walk around topless in Toronto. Montreal is very European. I've gone to nude beaches in Europe and dropped the banana hammock with no issue.
