Absolutely. I read an article today saying BTC will be at $50K soon.

I think diversifying with Cryptos is a good idea, but be reasonable and understand it's going to remain a rocky ride for some time. Silver has stayed pretty suppressed and remains a good way to preserve wealth no matter what happens to the market and/or cryptos.

Plenty of people start with Coinbase, since it's app based and allows for easy purchases and transfers (i.e. to a bitcoin 'wallet'); however, there is a nominal fee per transaction.

start with coinbase, and start with a sum your willing to let sit there until whatever profit fits you.

Ex: $1000 buy on coinbase at whatever BTC is now, sell whenever you want. You could also buy 1BTC @ 5210, and let it sit for whatever time you decide.

Also i see lots of trolls in here, lol BTC is not going to just explode to 50k, 100k, or 200k, you guys have no idea what your talking about...

it doesn't work like that, even with enough FOMO from major retailers, closest highest peak to hit this year imo is 20-25k, and thats IF.

IF it blows through 6k, it will validate a new bull cycle or run, whatever you want to call it.

One analyst believes a break of $5260 will validate a new bull run, but we already broke that 2 days ago $5352 highest peak we've had since the major drop.

The whole market sentiment is overall bullish, i wanted to see some type of correction back to 4000 levels, some believe that might not come again, but ive seen the worst and lived through -%80 portfolio..

I'll expect anything, and since im parked in ALT coins, i really dont have the need to sell my BTCs that i have on the exchange. Im in it with that for the long run, like the MOON boys

A good source of charts is on tradingview.com

I wouldn't say it's bullish until it breaks 6-6.25k, that's where the major resistance is.

There is literally no limit to how high this can go. Limitless value on this rare, incredible asset.

$100K is conservative.

Half my posts are just trolling to get a rise and itís working. That thread was almost 10 years ago and I was depressed about money because everyone maxed out credit while I always paid for things in cash.

Iím over it now though, but thanks for checking in on it.

He was right though, I was trolling too hard. Iím deleting the immature posts and bowing out of the thread.

If you decide to play this game it should be considered gambling money as I can't see a reason this "business" will take off unless enough people just believe it will. If the "business" isn't based on anything new, improved or people buying it for a new reason I would say it is big gamble. Nothing wrong with gambling if you have the money to lose.

If you asked 100 people that bet on black or red on a roulette table, close to 50% would be winners and say it was a good idea and many of the others wouldn't say anything as they were the losers. Places like this are similar, many will talk about their winnings, few will talk about their losses. If you want to use this site as your source of information you should go back about a year and half on the the posts and see who is still around and how their predictions have worked out. Some were right, many were wrong and if you take 100 people and they all throw out their predictions, the ones that were right doesn't mean they were an expert if it wasn't based on anything other than their guess.

There's no safe investment, and if you're not willing to take a risk sometimes in life, then you'll be stuck trolling forums for a living like some here, because you missed out.

If you have 10k in savings, 10% investment is a good start and will not make you go broke.

Or you can grow balls, and go deeper. I have 2 BTC that are worth 18k that have been siting for a year..., and parked in a ALT coin. if it crashed and burns byeeee, but i dont care, Lifes to short, i made my original investment and now im just accumulating more.

Maybe one day BTC will hit 50k, maybe 100k, can you imagine?

edit: we just broke $5300
edit: make that $5488

I expect a dump soon, if it keeps going like this is going to break $6200

Ethereum is almost to the break-even point for mining. $220 puts me at even. If it comes on up I'm turning my rigs back on.

Just in time for peak summer electricity rates. But yeah, about time to start mining ETH again and looking for promising new mining projects.

Waiting for the RVN I mined to mature. Most of the other startups I have mined are dead but always open for more.

It was grim for a bit.

My electric rate stays at $0.085/kWh. It costs approx $100 a month to run one of my rigs. At the current difficulty, Eth really needs to get to $300 to make it worth it.

On one hand people say bitcoin is dead, yet at the same time say it cannot work as a currency because of the hard cap- price is expected to continue to rise if it is considered a safe storage of value. It is cognitive dissonance at its finest. I prefer gambling on crypto, I found casino with crypto payment options here https://syndicate.casino/en-au/payment-options/litecoin and I've already won a few times.

Cryptocurrencies become more and more popular nowadays. I read at Cryptocurrencies for Gambling about the opportunity to play in online casinos worldwide using cryptocurrency and without any limitations due to country laws. Going to try my luck one day too.

I believe cryptocurreny/blockchain is the future. Now you have a lot of scams out there and you have some really good companies/ideas. There is a couple of issues crypto isn't regulated and not backed why most older traditional people won't invest. You have companies like Ripple that is partnered with some of the biggest banks in the world. Adoption is coming might not be next year but def. in the next 10 yrs.

Bitcoin is a store of value. It's realistically better than gold in every way. LTC and XRP move move like liquidity faster and cheaper than any bank (swift) system that's currently out. Our banking system is ancient it's time we revamp it.

Well that's because there's a difference - gold is a prime value storage but you can't use it as currency in your daily transactions. Maybe if you stop by the jeweller daily but I doubt the cute barista at starbucks would be willing to take 5 bucks worth of gold bullions
