Have you tried Exxon Mobil Synergy Diesel in your diesel BMW?

Own two diesels here in the US. Put my first tank of Synergy diesel in the G30 540d. Seems to run better. Too soon to definitively claim any mpg gains. Anyone out there trying this new fuel?

Tried it (explicitly synergy branded), saw no significant difference from the rest of my fill ups.

I've heard of others who claimed "gains" however, knowing refining is regional, and where your station gets its diesel from (in my area it doesn't even come from an Exxon refinery) probably adds variability.

Thanks, I stumbled onto it at my local (Stuart FL) station. Since then I got on and followed an RV discussion group and even found a truckers group. Seems pretty much overwhelmingly accepted by those who have actually used it. The price is the same or (for now) lower while Exon gets it out there. Had a 328D. Absolutely loved that car. Not a problem in 30,000 miles. Wish I had room in the garage (and wallet) to have kept that one. Two BMW's at a time is plenty.

Tried it before and I didn't notice any gain.

I filled up the Mighty Dodge with the new fuel the other day. The Cummins seemed to be running a bit smoother afterward, but I don't know if that is because it blew out the cobwebs after sitting since May, the fuel cleaned things up, or because the fuel in the tank before that was circa April.

I'd be curious to see the lubricity test results, since it is a concern with ULSD fuel and common rail pumps/injectors engineered for older LSD.....
