We have Scrub Jays as well and yes, they can really make some noise.

I've found that they get pretty quiet when I offer them peanuts. They will sometime eat out of my hand.

Scrub Jays are pretty smart, too. If I put out peanuts and pistachios, they take the pistachios first, every time.

An interesting thing I learned about Scrub Jays is they have the ability to chirp very softly when they want their presence known. I've had them land on my knee, my shoulder and the pillow I put in my lap to help support my iPad. And yes, they can be aggressive, but we seem to have come to some sort of acceptable terms. Heh!

We have a roaming cat that frequents our yard. We don't mind the cat but the scrub jays are always squawking at the cat. Very annoying.

Edit: I'm staying, MASSHOLE for life, 90+ degree summers with bugs and confederate-flags painted on trucks, no thanks

I'm so accustomed to stress/traffic/expensive day to day life and mean/cold NE people, peace and quiet would be boring IMO

Same happened last year as well due to a software update. It wouldn't surprise me if it was an internal oops.

My wife was Director of IT for a well known fortune 500 for a very long time, says it could be an update issue. Bell isn't affected and they share a lot of infrastructure so likely software......who knows. Given some of the geopolitical stuff and certain politicians running their mouths against Putin I was just speculating.

I have my issues with Bell but fuck me Rogers are abysmal, left hand never talks to the right. I still have equipment here they sent me that i never agreed to receiving then they berated me for accepting it and then they said they'd come get it and they are still yet to send the weigh bill. At work, they are a small client and the issues with invoicing are incredible.
