Post up your worst Christmas story

Instead of being jolly I figured we could post a fuck Christmas thread. Post up your worst Christmas story. I'll start, Christmas 2008. I am a Soldier that is undeployed but I still won't be going home for Christmas because flights are ridiculous and I have less than a $100.00 to my name for presents or groceries. I am 2 hours away from the nearest airport with no ride anyways and this may be my moms last Christmas. My fathers side of the family has put out that no one will be getting more than $35.00 total for Christmas and I bet when I don't come I won't be getting even a phone call from them. I will be stuck in ghost town State College, PA with a closed gym when I need to stay in shape to score well on my scholarship PT test. Hell given the situation if the Army said switch with a Soldier that's in Iraq or Afghanistan so he can go home to his wife and kids I'd do it in a heartbeat. Merry Fucken Christmas.

Not to be a dick but if it were my mom's last Christmas and I knew it I would be trying everything to find a fucking way home.

I lost my Mom in 2006 to cancer and had I known xmas 2005 was her last I would have done more, stayed longer, hung out more, talked to her more, etc.

Moral of the story. Get the fuck home however you can and quit worrying about your PT test, shitty family, or broke ass gifts. Greyhound that ride home if you have to. You'll regret it the rest of your life if you didn't.

OP - I feel for ya, and god willing, your mother will have more christmas' ahead of her.

I'd go and see her ASAP.

I guess christmas is just another day I used to get off, unfortunately, I lose my job this christmas so it sucks

2007 Christmas and 2007 Dec31st New years Eve.

Girlfriend went to Hongkong for vacation. Decided to call on their xmas eve and she told me she is with another guy in HK that she just met for 4 days. I said thank you for the christmas present and wanted to kill myself.

4 months later we got back together.. but 2 months ago, we broke up... life has been much better ever since.

Flights are about $300 bucks round trip. To get to Pitt it's another $50.00... I have $95 in my wallet. My mother has none, and my fathers side of the family think that I'll be there anyways... that I'll find a way when I doubt I will so they aren't even caring.
