Wild Game = Wild Gain?

Who incorporates various wild game into their diet and who has noticed any benefits in terms of their workouts, muscle gain, health, or any of the above? Trying to justify the extra cost. I bought bison, elk and deer, and so far really have enjoyed just eating a meat different from beef, but figured I'd ask others if they think it's worth the cost.

Online, of course, you will find endless claims that wild game is the answer for many peoples diets and physical ailments.

I know quite a few bodybuilders back North, one had a sponsor who provided him with goods from their butcher such as elk, bison as well as USDA Prime cuts of typical beef (cattle) as well as fish. He said he didn't notice any difference(physical benefit) besides the taste and texture as compared to cattle,he enjoyed eating new sources of protein but said he would never spend the extra money on it over conventional red meat. Some cuts definitely were leaner than comparable cuts of beef. He said it came down to money&it was cheaper for him to add in more testosterone and see noticeable gains than what the meat provided(go figure lol). And that was pretty much the end of the convo.

I dated a girl who's uncle was a big game hunter and he made me a freshly ground elk cheeseburger and to this day it was hands down the best cheeseburger I ever had and that was back in 1989 lol. Flavor wasn't gamey at all. Personally,I find venison too gamey for my taste. I have not tried bison. I'm kind of finicky with what I eat the past few years and as much as I despise eating chicken 5-6 days a fucking week for the past 30 yrs,it's definitely my "go to" source of lean protein.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful,I'm sure someone else will offer better info than I.

That makes sense. I am loving the change though I must say, Elk and Bison, just delicious. Haven't tried the deer yet.
