Heel Toe?

Been practicing on a game called rfactor with a Logitech g25 steering wheel. I've been getting it down in the game pretty well. I can do it pretty quick, but I know it's not ganna be the same in a real car. The gearbox on this controller just slides into the gears and I know it's not that easy on a real car lol.

So I was wondering if theirs something I should keep in mind when doing on a real car so I can keep ti from getting damaged lol.

Nothing to worry about. Maybe shifting the stick through the gates might be a little notchier, but it's all just about knowing the basic principle.

It might be overkill but when I first started driving stick, I would heal toe through all the gears when coming to a stop. It's a lot easier to learn to do it while just slowing down and you don't have to worry about your speed for the turn ahead. It's all about practice (in a real car) and soon it will be second nature.

More importantly, you haven't driven a manual car, you should probably be worried about the basics, like not stalling when starting in 1st gear and shifting up through the gears smoothly. The M3's clutch is not going beginner friendly. You should practice on a friend's car before you get your M3. You don't want to look like an idiot when you can't get your M3 into 1st gear.

+1 I did that to practice heel and toe and its the best way to master it. One thing i should mention is don't take heel and toeing word for word. I don't use my heel or toes. I put half of my foot on the brake pedal and the other half on the gas pedal and just kinda twist it to get the revs up. I have big ass feet so that works for me donno about you.

Good luckk

Thanks for the advice guys, I do know how to drive a manual so I'm not really worried about that lol. I'll probably do it while coming to a stop as haen said lol. And I think I could manage to use my thumb toe and pinkie toe as well lol.
