Hola Everyone, My name is Eddy. Well finally after 5 wonderful years of owning my Evolution 8, someone stole it on Aug. 11. I just received my insurance money today and have decide to buy a 2007 E90 335i 6spd. I know it won't be as fast as my Evo, but it will be a lot more comfortable.

I've been lurking around these forums for a couple of weeks now and I'm quite impressed with all of your rides. I do have a few questions...

What's involved to convert the rear to LCI? I know i'll need tailights and trunk, what about bumper?

Do the LCI headlights have the same shape as pre-LCI?

Has anyone contacted Forced Performance about turbo options for the 335i?

That's all i can think of right now.

Welcome to the Bimmer side of the world, where we eat fuel pumps for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sucks to hear that your Evo got stolen, but I bet you were happy when you got the check and a choice of any car you want (in your price range of course). Do your research on the price that other members around here are getting their cars for before you pull the trigger at the stealerships.

Edit: Oh, also make sure that the car you get has an oil cooler. Mine doesn't have it, and let me tell you it sucks big time.

Ugh there are 335's here that run what your evo did. So yes your 335 will be as fast or faster than your evo with the right mods , not slower. Keep searching around and you'll see what I'm talking about. And for turbo upgrades I know asr has on. Look up the asr 135 so you could see what these cars do.

True, but he's got a very conservative evo.
Usually 350 to the ground is just the beginning, and he's at 400. That's giving him a mid 11s.
He has a lot of options going forward from where he's at.
He can go for 10s, he can go for 9's, hell, he can go for 8's (albeit the car won't *really* be streetable anymore).

On the other hand, mid 11s in a 335 is almost every mod currently available (granted it's not that many mods).
You're basically capped above 11.00 (barring nitrous).

Pretty much yeah, you can get a 335 to be as quick as his evo is right now. That's not a problem.

You just don't have the same options beyond that (currently).

Evo is my very first favorite car when i was 15, beautiful car imo. Im sorry about her getting stolen. How much did insurance compensate you for? if you want lci look you might as well get lci. Pre lci to lci conversion aint cheap.
