Omega or Breitling

Man I love both. Just having a difficult time deciding. I have a Rolex Tudor my father gave me in 1983. He received that one from the Navy when he graduated from dive school back in 1965. Mint

Definitely Omega, at least in my books. Check out the planet ocean, its the nicest omega in my opinion.

I'm in the Omega camp too. I have a Constellation and a De ville and they are lovely. Will add a planet ocean to them too one day.
As lovely as they are, Breitlings just don't float my boat.

I say Breitling. The quality, finish and wrist presence is amazing. But it depends on what you want. Omegas feel too small for me. What models are you looking at?

Breitling for sure IMHO. They've released some great new models recently. I would look at both side by side. Hard to know otherwise.

I have two Breitlings and have never had an issue with either one. I wear a Chronomat Evolution to work (which is nice but not in your face like some watches). On the weekend I wear a titanium Avenger Seawolf. It's a bit thick, but it's bullet proof and actually weighs less than the Chrono. The Avenger is says it's waterproof down to 3,000m/10,000ft, which always makes me laugh. There's no doubt you could park your car on the Avenger without damaging the watch at all.

I have had an Omega Seamaster for 12 years now. Love it. People still compliment me on it.

I think this thread highlights how personal a watch choice is at the mid/higher end of the market.

I own a Breitling but man the market is so saturated with them now. Everyone and his mother has one, which to me takes some of the appeal away.

Depending on the model, I would go Breitling. But if you're going to go with one of their big bulky models that seem to be on every mid-30s middle income man, go with a Planet Ocean or similar.....much more classy and refined.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I was looking at the planet ocean series for breitling and for omega the seamaster series. It seems omega only sell at retail but you can get a small discount from the breitling stores. I'm in Houston and I never see anyone w these two brands only tag. I will make a wise decision as I think both are classy watches.

You might want to proofread what you just wrote.

I think all in all you are getting a better watch with an Omega, however Breitlings tend to be flashier and are more trendy right now in my opinion. I think that the general design of Omega watches is much more "timeless" than those of Breitling. IMO there's more of a "macho" factor to Breitling's as well with their aggressive styling and larger than average dials.

I think Omega makes the best "mass market" luxury watch out there; They both spend a ton on advertising (Breitling spends more), so you aren't getting something that no one else has by any stretch of the imagination. And everyone has their own opinion of each of them. I will say that they both make a high quality product.

Both very similar watches. I still would go with Breitling, as I find the fit and finish to be slightly better than Omega. Movement wise depending on which seamaster you are getting, the duel would go to Omega. Looks wise to me is Breitling by far.

Side by side man they are bad azz. My wife says breitling while now I'm on the omega. When I return home in a couple weeks I will go purchase the winner. It's a hard decision especially when no store sells omega but their own store. Thanks for putting up the pics of your watches guys.

both watches are good. Omega is best if you want to look like James Bond. Breitling should be chosen if your other watch is a casio calculator watch and you wear a pocket protector.
