2008 E60 cranks but doesn’t start

Hello fellow colleagues I have been having a problem with my e60 after replacing the starter and new battery my car cranks but doesn’t start. After searching up and down the car I have noticed there is no power in my ebox no power to the DME no power to the fuses no power to the relays only power in there is an orange cable. Other than that there is nothing else. Please help…

Have you checked the DME power line off of the battery? And more obviously, the 60A fuse in the glove box for the e-box distribution?

Its more obvious in an e90, since it is coming right off the battery harness, but this should help you:

Also, check to make sure you are getting continuity from the battery cable to the alternator. Since the power to the DME is routed through the alternator, if the connection (Should be very obvious if it's disconnected) is missing or insulated, you wouldn't get power to it.

Thanks for the attachment I will read it and try to check everything out. If the alternator is bad would that be a probable cause for not getting power to the DME??

I don't think so… without having the wiring diagram for an N54 in front of me, I believe all of the connections are external to complete the circuit. At least on an N52, that would be the case.
