Windshield wipers acting odd....

Hello All,
The windshield wipers on our 2007 530xi are acting odd. They are stopping in the up position and then when you try to re-activate them; they are unresponsive. After a few minutes you can re-activate them; at which they may or may not finish in the up or down position. It appears to be due to a failing windshield wiper relay, as some on YouTube experienced. Has anyone else had this issue and is there something else that I should consider? Otherwise, I'll be looking to purchase the relay today. Your input is appreciated.
