Bass in my E60
I got a 2010 E60 535i back in September (it’s February now) I updated the anemic 6.5” screen to an Android 10.25 screen and added a backup camera… I also added a Kicker 10” L7 in a custom ported box and Kicker 800.1 amp… I designed the box to be tuned to about 28Hz and it POUNDS… but my only issue is that my car doesn’t have the ski pass through or fold down rear seats, so I’m losing a lot of that bass energy in the trunk… what’s a good/best way to get more bass into the cabin?… I’m not looking for hair tricks (the car sounds the way I want it to and it digs DEEP) but I’m sure I’m losing a lot of sound in vibration energy in the trunk versus air in the cabin
cutting a pass through? Cutting the package shelf? Cutting the metal on the back of the seats? Thx!! |

E60 base
i have a 12" skar 1200 watt sub plus a ported box in my trunk all limited by a 800w alpine amp. the way i got more bass in my car is by swapping folding seats with a pass through and then removed the ski bag part then fold it all back up and it sounds great. if you don't have folding seats or a pass through you could probably remove the rear decklid and cut out the inches of insulation and that would probably fix the lack of sound issue.
