Electrical system malfunction, after arch while screwing top port of Foxwell NT 530
I had the cord connected to the OBD2 port and was attaching the the top port of Foxwell NT 530 scanner, when it arch as I was trying to plug connector in, I DID NOT HAVE KEY FOB IN KEY FOB SOCKET IN COLUMN.
Then “Electrical system malfunction message appears and the Red Car service icon shows above the steering wheel. I go to trunk, disconnect battery for a few minutes and then reconnect and red car icon shows again and same error message on IDrive screen. Then windshield wipers turn on and get wiper malfunction error and have to take fob out since wipers keep going. I just disconnected battery but before I did, I connected scanner to obd2 port but scanner doesn’t power on. I have an 2008 BMW 528i, 200,000 miles bought it with 140,000 miles and was reading codes after swapping #5 cylinder coil with #2 to see if it would change but did not change misfire error 29D1 all this after replacing starter on N52 I’d appreciate any help! |
