I enjoyed this one much more than the original. The 4 hours didn't bother me as much as i thought it would, it was definitely a little slow at parts with the slow motion and stuff.

It didnt feel like 4 hours to me, more like 2.5. I absolutely loved it, and was a vast improvement over the original.

ALL OF THIS!!! I've watched it twice and about to watch it again when a good friend of mine comes to visit next weekend.

So damn GOOD!!!

By the way.. . The most powerful actor in Hollywood (and I don't mean strength, which he's probably that too) is weighing in on the whole #RestoreTheSnyderverse saga: https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/dwayne-johnson-reportedly-fighting-wb-restore-snyderverse/

I hated the original. I liked this one. It's not a perfect masterpiece or even a really really great superhero movie, but it was better than most. Weirdly, you know what my favorite part was? Not black uniform Superman, not the added action scenes, not Steppenwolf's crazy new armor, but the design of his eyes. Steppenwolf is huge, looks menacing, but he has sad eyes:

They are not puppy dog big, but they are enough to tell us that this is a real character with depth... for a comic book villain anyway. His new back story is that he wants to prove himself and go back home and rejoin Darkseid is relatable, unlike the cardboard cutout of just wanting to take over/destroy earth or whatever (been there, done that). He betrayed his old master and wants to make amends. In his eyes, his path is clear: conquer earth or die. Not only does that give him the proper motivation to be relentless in his objective, but it gives weight to Darkseid, who is seen as such an authority figure that the fact that he finally decides to give Earth attention again makes for an ominous cliffhanger. Steppenwolf goes from a totally forgettable and flat villain to a semi-interesting 3 dimensional force of will, and it made a huge difference.

I just finished watching it. Wow, I really enjoyed this one. It's nice how they cut out all those people in the "radiated" area the last hour of the movie as they were trying to leave their infested homes, lol.

Just action and no mortals to get in the way, lol

Yeah, pretty sure Snyder was like all those people are dead or turned into parademons by then.

Never thought I would see the day when Zack Snyder being involved with a movie would make it better. But it seems pretty universal that he actually improved it. While he doesn't know anything about how to make a good movie (IMO) maybe his true skill is fixing bad ones.

I might have been one of the few that really enjoyed Watchmen. I also thought 300 was good dumb fun and Dawn of the Dead was a pretty good zombie action flick. Admittedly, he had good material to work off.
