I'm glad to report that my car has now been retrofitted with 6NR and coded for BMW Live thanks to the guys at BimmerTech :twoup: :hyper:

Out of all the mods that i have done this my favorite to date. I Love the Google features in BMW Live and i'm in love with the IPOD UI in Plugin. Webradio and Pandora are also GREAT, im very impress with the sound quality.

If you have any questions about this retrofit please send an email at info@bimmer-tech.net

For those that already have done the CIC retrofit, you will need to retrofit the COMBOX and also need to purchase a 6NR Kit from BimmerTech. Your CIC firmware will also need to be updated.

Hi Guys,

just a quick thx to the guys at bimmertech (Patryk and MEN for coding).

.order of combox and USB/aux (E60 LCI model) arrived on Friday thx Patryk for quick delivery.
. Saturday combox in trunk, coding done by MEN thx for that.
-Monday install of usb/aux. Rootkit thx for youre DIY that I get from Patryk.

thx a lot Patryk and Men for the support/communication and good service.

I looked into the CIC retrofit on a CCC equipped E60 and was told that, since the car originally came with CCC, it cannot be permantly coded with the CIC system. Therefore, if ever taken ro BMW for service, the CIC system would have to be removed. Is this correct?
