What if I qualify for the airbag recall loaner? I might not get to drive it for a while, but I'd get a free rental to beat on for a while.

Pros: Free car, no wear and tear, take a break from repairs and maintenance.

Cons: Rental car, can't drive fun car in summer

I think I have a faulty airbag in the E92. I should have them do something about that....

I got a letter from BMW saying they'll have to replace the driver's and passenger's airbags. The passenger's one was replaced but there is no replacement for the driver's side. Umm...shouldn't the driver's be fixed first!?

EDIT: Are you keeping the E92?

Yeah... I got some sort of letter too - haha... I filed it away in the "next time I take it in" pile.

Edit: I'll answer the Edit with an edit. Yeah, keeping the E92. 2011 with like 32K miles on it. It will eventually turn into a toy, when I get the time to do it right - mod it up and stuff. I already got the M valve stem covers, so I got the first one out of the way - as long as they don't get stolen by a band of hooligans running the crime syndicate around here.

No he has already deeded it to me should the wife allow him to get rid of it.

DO NOT take your car in... They don't give the car back... There's a sea of e9x's sitting in the dealership and the backstory is heinous... They can't even sell CPO e9x and some other cars that have Takata airbags either...

Unless they've resolved the issue... This was about two months ago... If so, then disregard...

Unfortunately, there is no "next time I take it in" for a 12 year old M3. Haha but luckily, I can see the dealership from the window of my office.

And being in Florida you're probably in the high humidity/first priority region.

She would NEVER do that. She already said (once when we bought the M4 and again when we bought the M2) "You are never getting rid of that car. You love it. I won't let you get rid of it." Heh... she get's me. It's a DCT - cuz, racecar. Saves me .000001 per shift yo! Don't want a hand off the wheel when VTech kicks in.

Edit: I'll answer the Edit with an edit. Yeah, keeping the E92. 2011 with like 32K miles on it. It will eventually turn into a toy, when I get the time to do it right - mod it up and stuff. That is one of my all-time favorite M cars. Make sure you hold onto it for as long as possible.

But as I said, I miss mine every damn day... And I had the proper version and not the overbloated fat pig version that ASBSECU E93 has... Miss Piggy...

That's awesome! You have a good wife!

LMFAO JT, I just died! Looks like you're starting your mods the right way!

Turn it into a track toy. That way you, 1MOREMOD, MKSixer and I can do track days together.

Can't wait to 'advise' the group of the epic failure you're stepping into

Ever see a big ass linebacker chase down a wide receiver..? It ain't pretty when he catches one!

And lately, I cannot think of a better nickname for Shoei than "wide receiver"... that's how he gets all that sweet valet charity.
