Non-Xenon Headlight Suggestions
Looking to replace my factory H7 headlight bulbs. Does anyone have suggestions/recommendations on H7 bulbs that give the xenon look? I've heard the Hoen's are decent. Used to have Nokya artic whites on my e36 and didnt look much different than factory halogen.
Any guidance would be appreciated. |

I'd suggest the Xenesis Tru Match or GP Thunders. They are both solid hyperwhite replacements that are factory rated and provide as white an output available from a filament bulb.

Sorry I didn't see that you only carry the Xenesis. Which would you recommend? GP look pretty good from what I've seen online. Don't know much about the Xenesis bulbs.

Before you purchase bulbs, read and learn: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/
55w H7 will produce about 1500 lumens (+/- 10%). +30 (i.e. Sylvania Xtravision) and +50 (i.e. Osram Silverstar) bulbs are a [marginal] improvement, however, at the expense of bulb life. In order to get that +30 and +50 rating out of 55w, there's going to be some compromises and the filament will run hotter than OEM. Furthermore, if the bulb has a blue tint (i.e. Sylvania Silverstar, NOT Osram Silverstar), then in order for them to produce the same lumen, they have to run even hotter (i.e. even less longevitity). I have a pair of Osram Rallye H7 65W bulbs on order that I am going to try. It produces 2100 lumens. I ordered mine from here: http://store.candlepower.com/osraulhiouh7.html If you have a crazy amount of free time, then check out this forum: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/content.php Michael.
