Go into the I drive, climate, vent settings and make sure that the icons for the seat is red. If they are set on blue the car is not utilizing the engine heat to heat the car causing the air to never be hot, red is the setting you need for the colder months.

I hate this about the E60. What a pain to go through several clicks and menus to get heat. Sheesh! Why make it this complicated to change the internal temp?

Yes, with Idrive you can make it blow heat in the winter and cold in the summer. Pay no attention to those temperature knobs on the dash.
