Sainz will join Hamilton with Fernie,Yuki and Val too at the back of grid with various PU and ancillary penalties and we know Max is on a new PU which has a 5 grid drop so will be trying to scupper Chas in quali to get that all important pole today.

What Elkan said was surprisingly lax on the reasons in the drop in performance of Ferrari and there was no hint of heads rolling. Perhaps it's different behind behind closed doors but as a Chairman I would be fuming..

And Checo was up there at P3 .Looks like he found a stronger pace .

For the race : Would be nice if Checo could fight with Charlie in the front .
While MAX is moving up from P6 ...

I have a bad feeling for the Ferrari PU's ..
Because they run like before with full power mappings !
It's understandable because Monza is Ferrari's homerace ..

Ferrari is slower in the corners with their 'forced low-downforce package to reach the Red Bulls super high top speeds ...

The Ferrari drivers aren't used to drive with a super-low downforce setup.
But MAX is ...

This huge shunt in the 2nd Lesmo was of great significance for safety in F1.
Watson surviving this crash convinced the other teams to deploy carbonfibre technology as well.

The Ferrari drivers aren't used to drive with a super-low downforce setup.
But MAX is ...

It's such a high speed track and I think you're right, the low downforce compromise with the main body of the 1.75 may be a handful at the limit for Chas trying to keep ahead of Max.
Every time Monza comes around I wish they had kept the old circuit with the long banking then the race would be the most exciting one out of all of them bar Spa of course
