Thinking about buying a 2007 525xi ... advice please

A friend is selling his 2007 525xi and I am thinking about buying it. About 44,000 miles (70,000 kms). Looking for about $14.5K ($16K Cdn). No accidents. He takes care of his cars.

fyi... I have previously leased a 2007 335i and a 2010 335ix. Didn't like the new steering on the 2013 so I didn't pick up a new one when my lease ran out and I have been driving a 2002 Acura TL for the last year or so.

Thinking I could do without a monthly car lease payment... so that is why I am considering this 2007 525xi.
