E36 M3 for $6000????
I am new to E36 M3 and there is one that my friend's friend is selling:
1997 E36 M3 coupe Manual Transmission Mileage: 140K Color: Black/Black All stock except after-market springs 2nd owner Asking price: $6000 Questions: 1. What are the general problems that I need to watch out from a E36 M3? 2. What would be the major maintenance issues in the future that I need to be aware of from a E36 M3? 3. What do you guys think about the price? Thanks a lot in advance for everyone's input and advice. I really appreciate. Last edited by doridori; 04-15-2009 at 01:30 PM.. |

My aunt had one. she got rid of it for a M5 cuz the cat converter was on the outs. BMW wanted $10k for part and labor, and independent shop wanted $8k. I guess it's now considered a special order part or whatever. I didn't really pry my uncle for details or question if there where other reasoning.

Yeah, it's a real price... those cars are old now, but not classic car status yet. If you want to keep it for a long time, it's probably a good time to buy it.
