PS/2. Not sure if the Serial to USB adapter will work.

you can find them on ebay, look for ones that arent yellowed but without keycaps

that's what i ended up doing, i got two and made one working one for $70ish, also get the blue cube ps/2-usb adapter.

if the cable is removable like on the 1391401 models they make ps/2 cables for that, if it's not i'm sure it's an easy soldering job since (i believe) ps/2 is a serial connection itself

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely look into that. I've also got a custom kit coming in the mail soon so I'll brush up on my soldering and get myself a model M as well.

ooo a fellow keyboard nerd
ive been thinking of a custom kit but honestly been too lazy, the board i have now is pretty good with the keycaps. might buy a TADA68 or go back to a hhkb (with bluetooth this time) later but don't want to drop $200-300 on a keyboard haha

Ooo KBD Fans. Nice! My brother built one of their kits as well and it's really nice, totally worth the time investment. I have their KBD8X MkII on order with some Tealios from Massdrop.

Physical keys for smart phones. Sadly the Samsung S8/S8+ are the last of the phones Samsung provided a factory keyboard cover option. Here is the link to the S8 version:

https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/mo...j-cg950bbegww/

Unfortunately, not many people knew Samsung produced a physical keyboard for their flag ship phones. Whenever I have my phone out with the keyboard installed on the front of the phone, I always get asked what phone is it. Many thought it is some sort of Blackberry. The sad thing is if Samsung had actually attempted to advertise/market this option, the sales/demand would be much higher. Samsung dropped support for the keyboard cover from the S9 on as I suspect sales numbers weren't that high. I found that everyone who asked about it, didn't know about it, and would have bought it if they knew about it. Even the phone retailers didn't know about it.

Sadly, inventory for the S8 keyboard covers is pretty much gone as the product has been discontinued by Samsung. You can still find S8+ keyboard covers out there. I thought I was screwed as some how I lost the keyboard for my S8. I thought at least I would be able to find something on Fleabay. Nope. I did find one place which had one used for a handsome sum of money. Thankfully, I found one last one new in the box on Amazon UK. I bought it immediately and it appears I bought the last new one in the world. I'll have to make sure I don't lose this one and it appears the S8 will be my primary phone for a long time due to no physical keyboard option with the latest phones.

Blockbuster is still my favorite.

Wasting 30 minutes walking around trying to find a movie or game.

That entire experience is done virtually now (think browsing Netflix or ps store). Crazy.
