Yeah hearing that got old quick. The last SB did not help his legacy getting shut out in the biggest game. He couldn't do squat. Also add in he was playing the GOAT and everyone wanted him to beat Brady and end the TB domination of playoffs/SBs.

In other news...The pats barely beat the worst team in the league. We need help.

The whole Gruden situation is just dirty overall. He obviously said some stupid stuff and getting fired is probably expected in today's day and age of cancel culture (which is also trash).

However, I don't even think it's as sleazy as selectively releasing just Gruden's emails from 9 years ago? Hmm.....wonder if Dan Snyder had anything to do with that maybe? Just trash all around there.

I feel a bit bad for Gruden. From all accounts, no black people he has played for actually thinks he is racist. That being said, the fact that Nassib came out this summer and happens to be on his team probably alone was the nail in Gruden's coffin. He may have been telling the truth about the DeMaurice Smith comment meaning.....but no real way to explain the other stuff.

I bet A LOT of people are sweating right now as I'm sure there were a lot of emails examined or being examined. Like even with Gruden, you don't talk that way in an email unless you KNOW the person you are writing to feels the same.

The Colts are in a hot mess now and need to make a decision soon. If Wentz plays 75% of games/snaps (forget which one it is), the Eagles get their 2022 first round pick. Colts are 1-4 and a loss or two away from realizing there is zero chance on making the postseason. Do they sit Wentz knowing that they’ll be high in the draft fearing they’ll lose that pick if they keep throwing him out there?

ive seen some rumors that the NFL offices leaked the emails and with what Gruden said about Goodell and how petty he is, it definitely seems like Goodell wanted Gruden out.

the other theory is WFT leaked the emails to get people off their back with this investigation and Gruden was the easiest target.

If you read the stories being released you would know the answers. They were investigating The Washington.... and some of these emails from Chucky were discovered prompting the need to investigate his emails further. To date, we have no idea who, if any others, will be in a similar situation. When you use work equipment to send/receive non-work related content, you are subject to termination or, at least, suffer the consequences. Don't blame others for the behavior of G.

considering the only emails leaked out of the NFL's investigation, which included tens of thousands of emails, were Gruden's emails, not hard to believe the NFL or WFT released the emails. And with the investigation being done in house by the NFL, only 2 organizations had them; the NFL and WFT.

Also, none of Gruden's emails were from when he was the coach of the Raiders. They were several years prior, while he was working for ESPN

I just find it odd that this developed during the Snyder / WFT inquiry. Snyder is accused of the things Gruden got nailed for. So is this just an example of someone who pays the league vs someone who gets paid by the league?

Personally, I'd rather see Snyder gone than Gruden. I'm sure Snyder saw what happens with Sterling and the Clippers so I wouldn't be surprised if this was just a smear campaign against Gruden to take away from WFT.

If anybody benefited from this it's Urban Meyer. In my opinion, he owes Chuck at least a BJ for drawing all the attention away from him, lol.

IMO, it was probably a collab between those in the NFL and those in WFT to release the Gruden emails. You mean to tell me in over 650k documents, those gruden emails were the only ones worth leaking?

More likely, is the NFL and Owners know that nothing good will come from trying to cancel Snyder. It will be a massive black eye for the league and a PR nightmare. Gruden was a big enough name that it got the media's attention off WFT, but wasnt big enough that it was a massive black eye for the league.

It's 75 % of the snaps. The Colts had a brutal schedule in the first 5 games. I think a crucial game will be against the Titans, which is already in 3 weeks or so. If they win there, they have every chance. If they lose, the division is as good as lost and the chances for the wildcard would also be slim. In the latter case, I would think twice about using Wentz in the last games before the end of the season.

The match up in the UK was laughable, it could have been billed as a battle for the first pick in the ‘22 Draft. How long of a leash do you think Urban has? I bet his wife made the trip to keep an eye on him.
