Fahrzeugmuseums Marxzell - near Stuttgart, Germany
Fahrzeugmuseum Marxzell
Albtalstraße 2 76359 Marxzell Telefon: +49 (0) 7248/6262, +49 (0) 7248/5230 Handy 0172 7232817 Fax: +49 (0) 7248 / 9249901 Email: Reichert-Marxzell@t-online.de Internet: www.fahrzeugmuseum-marxzell.de What can I say about this museum? Well... I wouldn't really call it a museum, its more of one man's car collection of really weird stuff! Or one man's collection of "stuff: shown off in an old barn. This place is AWESOME! As soon as you walk into the old place... the musky smell of mold and dampness and old cars greets you. This guy had a ton of "stuff"! A lot of it I must say I found really cool. I knew I was in for a treat when I parked my car around the corner at the Museum's car park and I saw he had some Turkeys and Geese walking around the old cars and trucks parked outside of one of the museum buildings. Weird stuff. The Museum is about an hours drive from Stuttgart area. I'd say 50 mins from Porsche in Zuffenhausen. Its located near where the A5 and A8 Autobahns intersect. Once your off the autobahn you have a very nice drive thru the Blackforrest (Schwartzwald) area of Germany. This is the land of Kukku Clocks and some very nice alpine roads. VERY picturesque area! As long as you don't expect much from this museum... you will have a blast. Its not as polished or refined as some other museums I have been too. But I did find it very interesting and it had a lot of cool stuff inside. Just one mans treasure, as the saying goes. Take a look at my pics and judge for yourself. I enjoyed visiting the Fahrzeugmuseum Marxzell (car museum Marrxzell). Dackel

WOW...that's just crazy...imagine what if he/they could clean up the entire place or get a bigger place, clean up the cars and other things, organize and put them on display!

Awesome Dave...thanks for sharing...how old is this guy? He'd be a millionaire if he sold those antiques cars off...is that a 427 corvette? But like someone said earlier, hell of an estate sale one day.

Outstanding collection! Easily millions of $ worth of antiques collected over many years. Someone will inherit it for sure...

Dakel,
Your thread inspired me to post some photos as well in the off topic section (hope that is the right area if not do move it). I added photos I took last year when my best friend and I drove down to Bowling Green Kentucky to visit the Corvette Factory and the Museum. We had a great time. My friend loves Corvettes and drives nothing else nevertheless he so enjoyed driving my M3. I thought you and others from around the globe might enjoy this. Have a peek at the photos here ----> Click to open the link kere

That would be one CREEPY place late at night...! All those manequins are spooky. Sweet cars, though!
Anyone else feel that Audi lacks the historic design cues that Mercedes and BMW have?
