I have a profile on a couple dating sites and I will confirm, there is a "thing"

Since I'm a guy I don't expect to get unsolicited messages from women.. It just doesn't work like that usually. No issues just how it is.

Well with one exception, black women almost exclusively will send unsolicited messages. After much confusion I confirmed with a couple other single asian friends that this happens to them when they are on Tinder, Match, Zoosk, etc..

Sometimes. But a lot of Chinese settled in Caribbean, specifically Jamaica. Some mixed, some not.

Out of all the weird/off-the-wall/troll comments that's been said about me after being on these forums for 2.5 years, that's actually something I won't mind doing...

I like reggae enough to even half-assed understand Jamaican Patois, I'm ganja-friendly... Plus for a brief while I kinda had a crush on a criss ting (but I then found out she had another man)...

I've done that. Not in pajamas, but in shorts/ sandals with tats showing. Like to do that at the watch stores. Same at car dealerships, but now "I know a guy", so that fun is over for a while. Same at jewelry stores with my wife. She digs it too. Like 50% of the time we will say to each other the line from Pretty Woman "Big mistake. Huge" when this happens. Hehe. Childish, but fun.

I never dress up to go buy stuff. Not on purpose but it's usually on the weekends or on a day off.

So the retail folks that ignore me because I'm wearing cargo shorts and a t shirt just lose out.

I think they ignore you because you are wearing cargo shorts not because they don't think you have money.

Funny, I was at Rusnak of Pasadena waiting to pick up a part and work on his Audi with him (and I dressed appropriately sloppy in a worn-out T-shirt and motor oil-stained jeans), but wandered around and checked out a Bentley, and I got waited on hands and feet; opening the doors and letting me sit in it... But when I was dressed nicely for a friend's wedding, I got treated like a nobody at The Auto Gallery in Calabasas... "Oh, if we opened the car up we'd have to detail it again [and blah blah blah]"... Over a Maserati Ghibli, or what seemed like the cheapest car on the lot.

All in all, it all depends on where you go IMO.
