Thumbs down Sandisk thumb drive won't delete files

I use these thumb drives in all the cars for music. This is the only one of them with the red center, though.

I use disc clean to empty the recycle bin on the drive, but still all the files I deleted stay on the thumb drive.

Anyone have this happen before? Any ideas what the problems is or should I give up & just get another one of the flash drives that are all black?

That's nowhere to be found.

Also, a lot of the files I deleted that are still there do not even show up in any folders on the drive. This whole thing is odd.

If worst comes to worse, re-format your thumb drive.
