Another look at Upcoming BMW M2 Competition Instrument Panel and First Look at Seats
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Apparently Darth Vader is still wearing "! do not remove !" shades for the moment. M2 Competition: Compare with the M2 LCI: (picture that surfaced in Spring 2017: see here and here): How the M Sport Seats may look inside the M2 Competition (option code 712): one-piece black F82 M4 seats (not the ZCP version featuring cut-outs) including the ///M logo hexagon plaque at the top of the middle part, but this time in black Dakota leather, blue or orange contrast-stitching, the block/stripe design in the middle part (4 blocks on base and 6 blocks on upper/vertical middle seat part) in a different color (for example orange if the contrast stitching is orange) either plain or perforated (depending on the chosen option), and a slice of alcantara (instead of leather) curving along the outside of the upper/vertical seat part (the part parallel with, and closest to, the door) (not inside the side bolsters as on the M4 CS). And here's a render by forum fellow Tag: he changed the orange contrast-stitching to Polar Blue to get us an idea: Furthermore, the M2 Competition is also getting Ⓜ1 and Ⓜ2 driving mode buttons on the steering wheel. Below on the left: F80 M3 - Below on the right: M2 Competition:

And the leaks keep on coming! Interesting that the start button is not red. The bezel around the air vent just right of the dash also appears to be different, I don't see any CF. Must be the gloss black finish.

It still shows the chrome trim peice that runs below the carbon fibre trim in the current LCI M2.That pic makes it look like they are replacing the carbon fibre trim in that area with gloss black trim.Didn’t the M2 Competition VIN info confirm that the car would still have the carbon fibre trim?

Thanks for the info,I don’t remember seeing that in any of the VIN’s that have been posted for the M2 Competion. The original BMW images of the MY18 M2 LCI showed gloss black around the carbon fibre trim, instead of the chrome, that is on the current MY18 M2 LCI.

This looks great. This car with the S55 will be a total weapon.

Visual difference between the original M2 maybe?
I agree that having the CF in there is better...

It sounds like they will be an option - but the standard M3/4 seats, not the ZCP options with the cutouts.

I still think the M2 is purposely held back by M division due to their M3/M4
Also think it is too big and fat, but that's the way with modern cars. Bet it will be fast as hell though, and given the choice between this or the RS3, this all the way. |
