My 520iA Road to 528iA '91
I've had many E34's in the past and co worker wanted to buy my ex. E46 316Ti and this was sale at same time. Rust wise it was good for Finnish market so I had to crab it. Just basic M50B20 with not many extras, Air conditioning at least.
When I bought it: Some fault that was found just by looking: Oil leak was mainly leaking oil filter housing but some ps lines are leaking also. Gonna order all new. Steering box is also leaking and wanna retrofit servotronic as wiring is already there. I had these 351's laying around, so I put them on: Bought "some" parts for suspension + coilovers Subframe bushings replaced Bought sport steering wheel and cruise control to retrofit also Test setup was with v8 bowden cable with some zipties. Cruise works. Ordered correct bowden cable and bracket to get clean install Sorry for long first post. Still lot of plans with this one. Would like to get SC kit but they are quite expensive. Bigger engine is another option, but currently I don't have place to make such project so we will see. Soon it's time for winter hibernation and time to order some parts. AC is not working atm as it's empty and R12 system, gonna upgrade it to R134a. Some To Do: - Get some better wheels for next summer (done) - Get ac working - Bigger brakes - White indicators (done) - RE85? - Drivers side door panel - Needs polishing (done) - Rocker panel rust issues are going to be fixed soon (done) - Front fog light retrofit - Gotta fix glove box (done) - Power steering lines leaking - Instrument cluster needs new display Last edited by zener; 06-30-2024 at 01:58 PM.. |

Found perfect wheels for it. Gotta order them when it's getting closer to summer.
8,5" and 10x18". I will most likely order 235/40 and 265/35 continental sportcontact 7's for them. |

M50b20NV the older NV engines you could run two intakes or two exhaust cams for a bit more lift and profile for an extra 7 hp in the 2.5L engines. Been years since I have seen a NV engine. Nice job of cleaning it up. How does it steer with such big wheels the E34's had the recirculating ball steering wheel.

I ordered those wheels. Gotta think what tires I want, I can get continental for fair price as I work in tire shop, but I don't know if this car needs such tires so might go with Triangle or Aplus tires.
Still before summer I would like to get the ac working and rust issues fixed from rockers. And little bit emission problems. I will most probably transform this to run on RE85. Last edited by zener; 01-31-2024 at 09:54 AM.. |

Ordered aftermarket side mouldings and installed one to see how they fit. Looks fine to me. I'm missing some pins for the clips so gotta wait them to arrive until I can change rest of them. Also ordered white indicators all around, new ac condenser and right front fender, which I'm gonna try and paint it myself. Last edited by zener; 03-23-2024 at 01:25 PM.. |

Any hint how to aling lcd ribbon perfectly... This is best that I got with fully assembled cluster. I got all pixels for once, but soon as I assembled the cluster few of them was missing already. 229404km is correct reading.
