What presents did you get for your family?

We have a million threads about what to give but what did you give to your spouse? How about your kids?

We hand out present here on the 24th, so I'll be updating you around 6 pm when our Santa leaves. My expectations are high. I think this year I'll get a 12 pack of socks.

I am extremely grateful that I am at a point in my life that there is nothing I need or want. If there is something I want I buy it. It makes me happy to give, not get. That being said, it drives my sweetie crazy when he asks what I want and I shrug my shoulders. We both have demanding jobs, I just want to spend time with him.

I've been a wreck most of autumn this year. I broke a few ribs, then I got my muscles to go in a full rebellion and I've been completely useless. I'm the drama queen in this relationship so, the whining was endless.

Anyway, he hurt his neck yesterday. It felt so good to send him to bed, because I can handle all this Christmas shit for sure but also, for once I got to just help him out.

I don't need anything either. I do understand if he wants a gift of less of me tho.

It’s easy for me to get him stuff. Snow blower was the best gift ever. Shirts, ties, pants because God forbid he should actually buy the stuff he needs. I have a good man and for that I am grateful. I wanted a freaking salad spinner but bought it myself. That stupid gadget would have made me very happy. Thinking about it now a ceramic coat for my new ride would have been a good option

My wife and I are blessed, so stopped exchanging gifts a few years ago. We give our kids something and usually a bit of cash as they are all starting out on their own. My wife says the only thing she wants is a gift that can't be given and that's more time. So were trying to spend as much time together and with family over the holiday season.
