Why kill a threat when you have an opportunity to try and diagnose the mental condition that lead them to attack people they've lived around for over 7 years?

Radicalism doesn't just "happen" when born. The beliefs that lead people to take on heinous actions like this stem from a source, and until we can disband that, things like this will continue to happen. Hopefully the fact we have caught someone alive will allow us to have more information to be proactive.

I agree with what Bups is saying...I've met a lot of people from my country here in the US that after some time all of a sudden become religious for no apparent reason. People who never believed in God and ate pork become religious freaks...

I think it has to do with the fact that they are unable to blend into the society or they're seeking attention from others.

There is nothing to diagnose here, there are people who just hate America. All these people who think you can just fix people, it is like the saying you can not fix stupid. These people will keeping doing this stuff if not this guy another guy.
