Okay, it is much different than a Google type search, but if you are in need of answers for something try www.wolframalpha.com. (same people that make Mathematica which is a mathematical modeling software)

Just for kicks and giggles, search "your city name weather", or two professions with only a space between them like "accountant actuary"

pretty cool but it's hard to determine what you can and can't expect to submit for an answer. it is still in the alpha stage though.

Type in a public company name (ExxonMobil, for instance). The results are pretty amazing. A whole lot of info in a concise manner.

It'll handle "accountant actuary", but it doesn't seem to like more complex comparisons like "chemical engineer mechanical engineer". Still, I like the way it delivers results.

Actually the execution is the cool part. Notice, it is still in the Alpha stage (prior to even testing). On a lot of topics, like vehicles, it says that the info is not in it's database yet.

I am sure in a little while when it gets to/past the beta stage it will be quite amazing.

also if you search "skychart city" it shows you the current skychart and labels the planets and shows constellations.

meh, I played around with this back in May when it first went live and it had major issues with context. For instance, "bond" was assumed to mean the chemical bond between atoms not a promissary note issued by a company. Thus things like "Bond duration" would return nothing. I just tried that now and got something useful, so it is getting better over time. we'll see how good it gets. Mathmatica took them a while to get right, and this is far more ambitious.

Yeah, it is still missing a lot of mathematicians (which I personally found astonishing) but it is getting better with time. This webpage is just the short term goal for them anyway. They are planning to make the database algorithm for companies to do various things. I am sure it will be huge in a few years.
