Possible instant messenger add-on to this forum?

I think it'd be a good idea. I've been whoring the new instant messenger on Facebook and figured it'd be cool if a forum like this would have one. It displays notifications, messages, and online friends in a little bar at the bottom of the page.

It'd be nice to be able to chat it up with other members. It'd also relieve the forum of some post whoring haha.

I just realized how hard that would be to do for a forum like this. Sry it's like 2:15 and I'm not thinkin straight.
