Turbo setup in the last few years for the wagon
Hi there, sorry if I've not searched ahead of time... I've got a 2008 335 currently, which is a twin turbo setup (N54), and somewhere around 2010 IIRC they switched to a single (twin scroll?) turbo (N55).
I am in the market for a used 535 wagon, and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the same change in the turbo happened with the 535 wagon as well, and if so, exactly when? I'm considering buying a 2008, 2009 or 2010. Thanks in advance! EDIT - Any other significant changes from one model year to another? I believe 2010 got the newest version of iDrive. I've still not gotten off my butt to get one. We've been stuck on getting a used 2010 with 10,000 or less miles vs. a new X3, which has pretty nice leg room I must say, and handles much better than an SUV, just has less depth in the cargo area, which is my biggest beef with it. I'm a huge wagon fan, and that's the only SUV I'd consider if I had to give up my principles... (which is getting hard to avoid, seeing there's very few high HP AWD wagons left).
For the same size cargo area (floor ******* as the 535, I'd have to get the X5, and there's no way I'm driving a 5000 pound thing like that. |
