I run ProTools 8.0 on Snow Leopard with Reason 4.0 Rewired into ProTools on my 24" iMac.

A PC would take a sh1t if I tried to do that.

Ubuntu is OK I guess. Good to recommend to new users I suppose, but leaves much to be desired for more experienced users.

Why dont you just get the best of both worlds and buy a mac with an intel CPU and run both windows and OSX. Problem solved. Then you can just switch between mac and pc depending what programs you need. I do that and get the best of both worlds
