Excellent story, those roads must have been fun to drive. I especially like all the stops for food and beer!

Awesome write-up - thanks for sharing! Been missing ED stories, so this was a nice surprise to see, esp with all the Alpine driving.
I did Stelvio during my M2 ED trip in Oct 2017 and got hooked on Alpine passes. Rented an M2 Comp in June 2019 and did Grossglockner. Sadly, I suffered the same fate as you with Gotthard/Furka/Grimsel/Susten being closed when I came through - and I was there a few weeks later too (June 6). I did hit Klausen on the way. I'm planning another ED trip for next year (obviously not a BMW...) - aiming for July or Aug to make sure all the passes are open this time. I have 14 on my itinerary at the moment, but you gave me a few more passes to consider adding. PS - I need to move to Germany so I can join trips like this!

Ok, so I'm back from my road trip.
Started Monday morning 0530 Ended : Today Friday morning 0200 Total: 2573km. Trip 1: my house in Bayern to slightly north of Hamburg to visit Stern Performance Parts to let them use my car to build a rear seat delete kit. Trip 2: Stern Performance Parts to Blackfish Graphics in Münk to pick up some instagram stickers I got made for my car. Trip 3: Blackfish Graphics to Kaiserslautern to visit some friends Trip 4: Kaiserslautern to Adenau where my other friend lives, from there I would stay 2 days so we can hangout and drive our cars to the Nurburgring Nordschleife. I did 3 laps in my car one with Misha so stay tuned for his video! Trip 5: Nürburg back to my home.

So, what happens when you buy crisps at the bottom of a mountain and then take them 2544 metres high up?

The Spulga Pass. The Swiss side is not my favourite, that is the Italian side which has tunnels and tighter hairpins.
