550i prices
I have been looking at getting back into a BMW. I found a local private seller that has a 2007 550i 6spd for sale. It has Nav, Comfort seats, Cold Weather, Sports, etc. Pretty nice car. He is asking $32750 and it has 31k on the clock. With the F10 coming out what do you think will happen to the values of the e60. He is slightly negotiable so I am thinking I might get him down to $30k and it does have until Mar 11 on the warranty. What do you guys think?

March 2011 is only a one-year warranty from today. You'll have to buy the extended warranty out of your own pocket pretty soon before the mileage gets any higher.
Dealers will have CPO'd E60s to sell when the F10 is in the showrooms. But private (and you buy the ELW) or retail dealer, either way you're in control. Don't rush unless you really need a car right now. The E60s will do nothing but go down in price, so why not wait until you get the perfect car with an extended warranty at close to Manheim prices? At this point in time, you're doing the seller a big favor by buying his car. He'll be selling it for less in a few more months. Wait until the F10 is actually being sold by dealers, imho. |
