Air filter, Jodium smell

Hi,
Can someone explain me how it comes that the air coming out of the airco has a jodium smell in the beginning. Is this a normal situation?
I own a 520d touring , year 2009 , bought in Belgium.

Thanks ...

you need to replace your cabin filter. Its located by your the front windshield wiper, the very top part of your hood. Atleast for the non-touring it is and should be the same in yours. I'll try to get a pic for you. And you'll need 2. Hope this helps
