Co-workers are getting the pool together, for tonight and Saturday, $4 for each. I had $0.00 in my wallet, so went over to ATM. Since somebody spotted me the original $8, I didn't want to show up with a $20. Went from ATM to liquor store and bought $5 scratcher (Monopoly) Scratched barcode, scanned for Second-Chance, Sorry, you are a winner.

Got back to work, paid my $10/$2 change, and told them I was waiting for them to share in the excitement and good luck that I had won. They didn't believe me. Scanned, $50!

Well not a good day for some poor bugger. I just pulled in to Princess Auto (Canada's version of Harbour Freight) when I noticed a small group of people milling around a motorcycle. Not a big deal usually but this particular motorcycle was a Ducati Monster... and it was on it's side on the ground. I don't know whether it fell or was knocked over. As I was going inside the bike's owner came out. The expression on his face when he saw his bike was heartbreaking. You could tell it was his baby. He was still there when I came back out but he was on his phone so I didn't ask what happened. He was fiddling around with the shifter and saying he thought he could ride it. I hope there wasn't too much damage. I didn't see any damage but I wasn't close enough to see it very well.

These days, soft and hot pavement and kickstands don't get along. That's why mine is fitted with a BigFoot®

That happened to my old man and his monster a few months ago; someone knocked it over in a car park. Dented the fuel tank, so that's enough to write off the bike in one go, technically. Adding insult to injury, they must have picked it up by the tea tray or something, and damaged the rear plastics. It's a bit of a scrappy bike because that's what my dad is like, but it's still his pride and joy, and the fuel tank had been immaculate...

Anyhow! Today was a good day because I rode my MTB, with friends. No crashes, no mechanicals, plenty of air time and roost

I bet that rang his bell! But surely the outcome counts as a very good day indeed, in that line of work?

That's good, inexpensive insurance against a falling bike.

Kind puts the minor inconvenience of having to occasionally wear a mask into perspective, doesn't it.

My bike blew over on a windy day years ago. It had a cover on it so I think it probably contributed. Still has a bent clutch lever to this day.

End of my Summer vacations today and it was good and relaxing. I didn't take any calls from the Regional Hospitals. And I got to see my Mum after a year and a half absence due to the pandemic and travel restrictions.

Tomorrow, because restrictions were lifted in our area, we are going back to our regular schedule at the clinic. We kept all of our staff on full salary during the past year. My partner and I even had our cleaning lady do some light work at our residences, even house and dog sitting, so that she would not lose her benefits. We are family.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Yep. I'll take sweaty nose all day long if it means I'm even a shade less likely to inadvertently kill somebody's grandmother/etc.

Sold two cars today. Bringing my total sold cars so far up to 13. Making my closing percentage 52% so far.

I've taken 25 ups (customers) sold 13 out of 25.

PTSD nightmares are no joke. Very little sleep and dragging this morning, but they also keep a person mindful of what is important, where you've been and to be thankful for where you are.
