It's Here...but not mine yet!

So, it's Friday afternoon, and I know my new 330 is due to be delivered to my dealer today...I am expecting to take delivery on Monday, but I'm the anxious sort, so I decide to poke around on the way home from work.

First stop, the dealers storage lot up the street, I drive around the approx 100 cars, but no joy on mine. Then once around the associated Mini Dealer, where they sometimes have a few new cars. No dice. Then, over to the main dealer site. I walk onto their roof parking lot. Not here!

Ok, into the showroom, just in case it's already prepped. Nada. My salesperson isn't around. Back into my car. I decide to drive around the Mini Dealership one more time, as someone there owns an SG w/Terra like mine, so that I can eyeball it...

As I'm creeping by, I glimpse inside what turns out to be their prep/car wash area and see the back end of an SG 330i. Could it be?

Yes! A quick check of the VIN...it's mine!

I do the sit test, make an abortive attempt to pair my Bluetooth phone, then snap a couple pics. They're attached, sorry for the poor quality!

I thought I share my adventure, since my wife won't nearly appreciate it as much as all of you!

Congrats on the new car! I am taking delivery in the next 7-10 days hopefully. I too bought the Terra with Poplar. My car is Jet Black. I hope the poplar won't look like too much when paired with the terra, but I really didn't like the burl wood w/ the terra. I did not have the opportunity to see the terra w/ poplar in person before ordering, but I have my fingers crossed that it will look hot.

Thanks everybody! You're right, it's going to be a long weekend! I too was a little nervous on the Poplar with Terra, as it seems most think Burl or Aluminum are the way to go. I personally find Burl too dark, it's hard to see any grain, and Aluminum didn't do it for me.

Anyway, the poplar looks great, and I think it looks fine with the Terra. I will post some pictures with a real camera once I've got the car.

And yes, the user name's gonna have to change, to at least ex-AudiGuy!

Anybody wanna buy an '01 A6?

I will attempt to find my 330i on Sunday. I thought it was the one in the background next to yours, but it doesn't look like the right color interior.
