Tickets!!

I have a quick question. I have gotten 3 moving violations in this yea. I have lied 2 my judge in the last one when he asked me if i ever gotten a ticket in the last 12 months and i said no. If i get pulled over again what will happen to me? will i get one ticket convicted? suspended? im 18 btw and have had prior tickets in the past.No speeding though just basically everything else.

What will happen? Hopefully the best thing for the citizens of Chicago which would be to have your license suspended for a year until you learn how to drive properly.

Well if you obey the speed limits you will not have to worry about getting another ticket. If you do get another ticket you won't have to worry about the next one for a while because they will probably suspend you license.

Three moving violations in a year, and you're lying to a judge? Nice.

A license suspension is the best thing that could happen; driving is a privilege, not a right.

How did the judge NOT know that you were lying ?? Seems very hard to believe that he didn't have your history in front of him.

Just tell me where the S&P and the price of oil are going to be in 6 months.

BTW, even in New Jersey, a state where the efficiency of government rivals the old Soviet Union, when you go to court the judges have a printout of your entire driving record. They don't in Illinois?

All good, 'cept his dad won't be doing anything... he's the one who bought him the car in the first place.

Trade in time, Toyota Prius. Just don't go all Al Gore son crazy with it. Seriously, you are pushing your luck. Time to rethink priorities.

Getting a suspended license is next, then you will probably violate that and get in deeper trouble. Head in a different direction, alot slower.

Wow, 18 years old and not only are you driving an e90, but from your signature you have $1000's invested in wheels/body kits/etc. . .

While I had a priviledged childhood, I was never SPOILED and I was held accountable for my actions. The one and only ticket I ever recieved while under my parents roof was a speeding ticket (42 in a 35) and my father took away my license for a month. He also told me the next time it would be until I could afford my own car/insurance/gas.

You need a reality check my friend. You are 18 and already driving around in a car that most work long and hard hours for. So what have you done to deserve this priviledge? Not only that, you go even further and put expensive wheels and accessories on it (more things you dont work for).

On top of all of this, you bold face LIED to a judge.

You are not going to get respectable advice on this forum from the respectable members if you openly admit all of these things. Do youself a favor next time and either 1) Keep this to yourself -or- 2) Don't give TMI (too much information).

my 2 cents.

When I was 18, I was driving a '87 Ford Bronco II, working my way through college, and paying my own gas and insurance. My parents gave me a place to live as long as I was in school -- they certainly didn't hand me the keys to a new $30K - $40K car. The closest I got to a 3-series was reading about the new E36 325 in Car and Driver.

Jump ahead 15 years, and my E90 that's on order is my first BMW -- I like to think that I've earned it.
